Jordan Sanders: 2015 GMHS Recipient
We’d like to congratulate the recipient of the 2015 Emma L. Cunningham Memorial Scholarship, Jordan Sanders from Garner Magnet High School. Jordan will be attending North Carolina State University in Raleigh this fall. The scholarship was presented to him at the Garner Magnet High School Awards Ceremony on May 11, 2015. Here’s an excerpt from Jordan’s essay: “I believe we were made for a purpose and every day I want to try and fulfill that purpose. I grew up in a great home for my parents not going to college. I wouldn’t change a thing. I am going to go to college to make my parents proud and to honor the sacrifices they have made for me.” We know Jordan will continue Emma’s legacy as he moves on to the next steps in his life.
